Deep Tissue Mobilization

Deep tissue mobilization is a manual therapy technique, or hands on physical therapy that is used to release tightness in fascia, muscles, ligaments and other soft tissue structures. Deep Tissue Mobilization is basically soft tissue mobilization applied at a greater depth or with more force to release more severely restricted structures. This treatment can be slightly painful temporarily but can achieve dramatic results if applied correctly.

DTM can relieve tightness in muscles, fascia and joints. Restrictions in joints and soft tissue can impair normal movement and/or cause painful movement. Excessive tightness in these structures may also restrict the flow of blood, lymph, and disrupt nerve signals in the area. DTM is often used to restore joint function after an injury.
